Reincarnated Antique Buttons
Wow, buttons are not what they used to be! I am always thrilled whenever I am lucky enough to come across these kinds of stunning hand crafted buttons in good enough condition to convert into unique earrings and pendants, they are truly pieces of art! These pieces are now available at my boutique in Arts Market!
Unique mixed metal buttons are made using separate metal pieces that fit together in layers. Earring posts are sterling sliver.
This particular button was made using carved mother of pearl, pewter and brass pieces. Separate pieces that fit together like a glove!

A day in the sun checking out the antique shops along Ottawa st. in Hamilton scored me this Calumet tin. I spotted it a month or so ago and was pleased to see it was awaiting my return, exactly where I left it.. Cans of Calumet are featured prominently in Stanley Kubrick's The Shining, it is my first piece of inspiration as I gear up to start working on my next collection which will be available exclusively at The TIFF Bell Lightbox Shop later this year.

Highlights of the road trip.
I picked up this awesome quality McDonalds Batman wind watch from 1980. Why does it exist? I do not know. But it is now mine. I had the crystal and band replaced and it's in perfect working order now!
It doesn't take a wizard to figure out what this old man toy has been up to all these years!
This sign is notably amazing for obvious reasons, however it was a little pricy and doesn't really go with my decor so the next nerd who finds it can enjoy it.
Holy mobiles Batman! How about this awesome metal replica vintage Batmobile. It even has Batmans science equipment (microscope etc) in the back of the car! Zoom Zoom!

This christmas I released my newest collection of Mechanical Hearts. Made using watch components layered in resin over hand painted backgrounds, these pendants sold out faster than I could make them!
